Don ran down the slopes from the Cave up on the arctic like slope of the Shadow clans stronghold mountain. He was coming to a gorge he had to choices port over or go 100 miles out of the way to cross the old bridge. Don jumped the gorge and half way across teleported landing out side of the highland packs territory. Don shifted to human quickly and walked forward with ease his long black cloak moving around his heels. Don didn't put his hood up because he had nothing to worry about here these were allies from years of time he had helped this pack many times yet he wanted to meet the new alpha here.

White Fang was waiting for a deer when there was a commotion and it was spooked off. Needless to say he was pissed. He turned around to the new comer and shouted "WHAT THE HELL! I have not eaten in four days!" He saw that the newcomer was not one to be messed with, but neither was he. He used some light magic to bind the Human and but a Light band around his eyes, "I am the Alpha of the Highlanders pack, how do you do?" He said asserting his authority. White Fang was a Pure white Wolf except for his wings, and his left fore paw."He let the light come off of the Human and said, "sorry for that."

Don looked and saw he had messed up the reason he hadn't heard this wolf was obvious he was hunting. Don didn't try and defend because he knew the other person was mad. "I am sorry about scaring your meal off but if you would like i know where a good sized herd is." Don waited for the magic to be removed. "Ahh so your now the alpha of the highlanders. It is a pleasure to meet you. I am don Markidas the Alpha of the shadow Clan. " Don leaned against a tree and rested running didn't come as easy for him as it did 185 years ago. Don used a spell to make a clump or dirt rise and form into a orb then grabbed it with his hamnd turning it in his palm. "Always it is that the orb goes solid from the outside first on dirt yet on water it is inside to the outside." Don said calmly admiring the way the shades of the dirt had done to make a beautiful coloring on the outer bands of the orb. "I love working with the elements but i know your hungry so if you like i will show you where that herd is." Don said tossing the orb a few feet away and watched as its grains of sand separated in the air.

'Nah, don't worry 'bout it, I can wait. Who are you, Human?" He asked wary. He did not know this guy, and yet he felt kinda friendly. He was scared all the same.He was hungry, but he wanted to know this dude. He had just acquired the Alpha title not long ago.

Don smiled before conjuring up another orb this time from the water. "I am Don Markidas alpha of the Shadow Clan. I wanted to come visit to see who the new Alpha was we keep watch on the lake pack and at times i look in on the Highlanders to see if they need help." Don said he thought that it was good that he met this wolf it meant that he might have a new friend. Don thought back to times long ago when he was not alpha how life was then but was glad to be leader of the clan. It was what he had always wanted and for 183 years he had done it well.

"Well, we need a safer place to stay." He said simply, "The pack is somewhere in the general vicinity of us, but there aren't that many left, we just survived a raid from the Lake Pack." He said going fully military, "If we go through another Raid, we will all die." He said with just a tiny hint of fear. He cared for the pack, and did not want to go through another raid from a much larger and stronger pack.

Don nodded he figured the Lake pack would start trouble again they had been growing stronger by the day. "Yes I can help you and your pack. Call up your pack tell them to meet us at the edge of your territory closest to the Shadow Clans domain. I will lead you up the back passages of the mountain and into Serlinka City that is the safest place for anyone in now i guess." Don said he knew if the lake pack were getting strong enough again to raid the Highlanders they would soon try to get into the clans territory. "When the time comes my clan will also fully move into the fortress city once The Lake pack start raiding u which wont be long. Serlinka is the most heavily fortified city in our territory and almost impenetrable when it is fully fortified which we will start soon." Don waited then morphed and started to the edge of the Highlanders territory.

White Fang howled, and the Pack answered back saying they would come.But White Fang knew something was up so he summoned his Beta Wolf, Seth Littlewolf.
Seth was near when White Fang howled. He ran immediately to his Alpha. "Whats up White Fang?" HE asked scared.
"Find as many of the pack as is alive or wounded, take this man with you, find them and bring them to me as a rally point." He said as a leader, "Don Markidas, you must go with this boy, he is like you in of he can shape shift into a wolf. Do so Seth." He said again as a leader.
Seth began the shifting process, a ripping noise started and fur flew out from him. He body seemed to grow larger and elongate, before he was finished he jumped forward and landed as a Deep Chocolate brown Wolf. "How do you do?" he asked Don.

Don listened to the calls of wolves he knew the sound all too well. Then he saw another human run out. Seth was his name and from what don heard he was able to shift quickly like he did. As Don saw him shift he cracked his neck getting ready to start the run to gather up others. "I am good but for now we have work to do." Don nodded at fang in a way that said bye for now then looked back at Seth. "Lead the way." Don waited ready to run.

Kazul had been running again. She knew White Fang didn't like her to travel around alone, especially at times like these, but she didn't like being smothered. She raced through the brush, jumping over logs and weaving through trees. SHe wasn't too heavy with pups yet, so her agility wasn't impaired. After a while of jogging, she stopped, panting slightly. She sighed, suddenly she felt very guilty. She had left the pack without a leader and had jeopardized herself and the future of the pack for her own selfish needs. She sat down, she really had to get used to the whole pack thing.
Kazul pricked her ears at the sound of the summon. Her mate was calling. As usual, her heart skipped a beat as she thought of him so she stood up and made her way towards him. After a couple minutes she stopped outside of a small clearing. She watched as Seth, the beta, prepared to lead a stranger away. Her hackles rose instinctively, but she forced herself to calm down as she padded out into the clearing. SHe immediately slid next to her mate, letting her pelt brush against his. Immediately she felt powerful. This was THEIR territory and the stranger would go by their rules. She smoothed out her expression and barked, "Greetings, I'm guessing you three have met?"

"Yes, we have. Kazul, this is Don, Alpha of the Shadow Clans. He is here under diplomatic protection, and as a friend he has allowed us to stay within his city's walls, you and Seth will fit in, but I will not. I am a giant Winged wolf, you two can shift to human. He was my fathers friend, and now he has chosen to help me." He said with a chuckle, and he whispered to Kazul, "Kazzy, please calm down, we just survived a raid from the lake pack, he has chosen to help us, it is okay, he is a friend, I would know." He said hinting to his uncanny ability to see people's heart fires. "Seth, you and Don gather the others, bring them here." He said with authority "Kazul, I need you here with me, do not run off again." He whispered weakly.

Don watched as another wolf entered the clearing the way she held herself let don know it was the alpha female. Don nodded in respect. "Yes I am Don Markidas. I know how dangerous the Lake pack can be counting on they have went up against my clan before we have learned through battles to learn there ways and the defences needed to counter there attacks." Don said He knew that the days to come would be dangerous and dark ones. "The Lake pack is growing stronger faster this time than ever before they have went as far as to try entering our lands and attacking the outskirt groups that keep border watch. We sent them back into their lands but with losses that was about 3 months back." Don said he was now wondering how long it would be before the clans territory would no longer be safe. Don heard what Fang said. "He was a good alpha i can tell you will be as good as your father was and possibly better. Seth lead the way." Don started into the forest waiting for seth before he went into a run.

Kazul nodded respectfully. She hadn't meant to be so aggressive, she was just very unpredictable with her pregnancy. The Alpha Female sat down and pricked her ears, showing her relaxedness.
"Greetings Don, if you are a friend to White Fang, you are a friend of mine." She watched as Don and Seth prepared to leave, then barked to her mate, "What will we do about your appearance? If you can't go in, I won't either."
She began to snarl more fiercely, "I will NOT let you or the pack be killed off, the rest running off like dogs with our tails in between our legs. If we are going to die, we will die protecting our territory!"
SHe paused, looking up toward the gathering site of the pack, "Speaking of pack, where IS everyone?"
SHe turned to White Fang and muttered, "Something is wrong."

"KAZUL! I MUST DO THIS!" he yelled at her, and he felt guilty after that so he quieted his voice and said, "Kazzy, if the pack is to survive, we must do this, I know it is not the wolf way, but I am thinking of more than the pack, I am thinking of the future pups, and the future Alpha inside the love of my life." he said quietly. He did not like it, but, it had to be done.
"C'mon Don." said Seth. He was ready to go, and he was already at the first guy when He saw something wrong. The Lake Pack was Coming! He howled a warning and ran Back to the Alpha to give his Report. "They are a D-days m-march away sir. The entire Lake Pack is there."
White Fang howled his Anger.

Don heard Kazul. "He will be allowed in the city i have more pull than you think plus i am usually in shadow and wolf form its hybrid to the most dangerous extent but it works so they are used to strange things. He will fit right in." Don said calmly then went with Seth then they both ran back with another wolf who had told them about the lake pack. "I will call the army i am in charge of to go meet them and have my commander escort your pack up the slopes through the back passages." With that Donn let out a howl that echoed through the valleys and mountains then the sound of wind could be heard as a hundred shadows materialized into wolves around them. Don went to one who immediately came forward. "Akayla This is White Fang Alpha of the highlanders and Kazul his mate. You are to lead them up the slopes take your ten best with you the rest of the clan will come with me to meet the lake packs attack that is heading this way." Don said the other wolf nodded then growled at a few others who went with him to White Fang. "Seth if you want you may come with me but i can tell you this it will be a bloody fight. The lake pack is strong." Don motioned to the others of the shadow clan and immediately headed in the direction of the coming Lake pack.

Kazul looked pained as the wolves left for battle. She wanted to go with them, to feel the excitement of battle again. She realized sadly that she was not ready to become a mother yet. She looked over at White Fang and sighed, "I guess we have to leave now..."
As Kazul began to travel swiftly away from her home, she whimpered to White Fang, the only wolf she'd EVER let hear her whimper, "I hope that our pups will be able to be born here, in their home. Or at least be able to see this place and be proud to rule over the land."

He whispered to his love,"Hun, It don't matter where they are born, as long as one of them is READY to take the rank of alpha, then it is all good. Besides, this should be over before the pups are born." He licked her nose and said, "I will join the fight my love, I am an Angel, I have to Heal the wounded and Fight those Demons!" He said aloud. "Bring me the Wolves that are going to Fight Seth,"
Seth obeyed immediately, he fetched the wolves that were ready to fight and lead them back to White Fang.
"This is going to be a bloody battle, and some of you may die. But always know that I will not leave, or run away. While there are still wolves that are willing to fight, I WILL NOT LEAVE THEIR SIDE, I WILL NOT RUN WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH, AND WE WILL COME BACK ALIVE!!!" when he was finished he marched off with them, and had Seth Lead Kazul to safety.

Don moved swiftly through the forest with his army and White Fang Seth and the other highlanders who were helping. "White Fang Seth stay with me. We r getting close they are not running because they dont want to arrive tired." Don scanned ahead then nodded at a few shadow wolves who immediately went off to the left. "NOW." Don leaped and went through the bushes. Then he saw the leader of the group of wolves from the lake pack. Don immeadiatley went for him and fur was flying.

White Fang was so pissed off at this point, that he exploded into action, killing wolves left and right, using light to crush them. He was not in the mood for Lake Pack shenanigans. He killed all of them, but the leader, He went after the leader with a fury, killing him with an explosion of light that knocked all living things back, except for the leader, he exploded right on top of the leader, killing him instantly. "I AM NOT IN THE MOOD!"

Kazul looked over at Seth and growled, "They aren't leaving me behind!"
She didn't let him stop her, in a split second she had gone racing after them. It didn't take a lot of effort to find her way through the path of destruction they'd made. Twigs and leaves lay strewn across the ground. Finally, Kazul found the battle scene and skidded to a stop. They were dead, all of them. She stared out, dumbfounded. There her mate stood, fury etched across his features, surrounded by pools of blood that spilled from the Lake Pack wolves.
